Where to stay in Stellenbosch South Africa - going-out and nightlife
No question! Take the B&B The Stables managed by Alex from Cologne.
www.thestables-stellenbosch.com
Nice house, perfect service and fair prices.
Stellenbosch is a perfect city with many restaurants, bars and shops all in the center which is 6 blocks in size.
During the day you chose a wine tasting (or more) from 130 wine producers www.wineroute.co.za and after that maybe a quick swim at Gordon's Bay.
Nightlife, Bars, Clubs for going out in Stellenbosch.
>Tollies is a very popular destination on a night out. Nice outside terrace and there is also a chill-out like room.
>Mavericks Nightclub and Bar with a DJ playing a good mix of hits and party favourites.
>Terrace Bar is an old established place with numerous live performance.
>Rustic Café bar offers long list of cocktails.
>De Akker is an old pub.
There are many more places even a nice lounge.

Oudtshoorn
Stay at the charming La Plume ostrich farm with an 200km view to the Swartberg and all the other mountains.
You should also make a Swartberg pass drive by car. The highest point by car is 1550m.

Scenic delightful routes South Africa by car
I have to mention Muizenberg to Somerset along Mnandi Beach. I had a windy day so the street was covered with sandy drifts it was like driving on Mars because it's a red sand beach and even the ocean was red.
From Gordon's Bay to Hermanus you see many different landscapes.
And from George to Knysna take the old road through the virgin forest it's called "Seven Passes Road or Old Geoge Road". This road has been build 1867 but no worry bridges have been restored 10 years ago. You can do this with any car even with a Japanese one.
more to come ....

Going-out in Cape Town on a Saturday
I recommend to do the C Tour. Start in Clifton swimming tanning and coffee. At 6pm you should be in Camps Bay to get your sundowner in Cafe Caprice followed by a dinner at Paranga (book your table early 021-4380404). To start the evening have a drink at Cubana (Green Point, Somerset Rd./Dixon Rd.) Cubana is next door to Opium if you like it stylish. And for the late place go to Chrome (Pepper St/Long St) but make sure the door man books you for the VIP dance floor with all the beauties. Just in case you don't like it you are now in the main location of Cape Town and on Long Street you could also go M-Bar or 169. Enjoy. I did.

wine & more
There are so many restaurants where you can eat fantastic. Here is a list:
http://www.rentalsincapetown.com/campsbayrestaurants.htm
But we have been very lucky in ordering wine. A 1996 Merlot from Meerlust ( www.meerlust.co.za ) a must have - you will confirm.
And for late night party go to Dizzy's Bar.
http://www.worldsbestbars.com/city/cape-town/dizzy-jazz-cafe-cape-town.htm . But be careful with their shots they offer JagerBull ( very -lecker- yummy ).

Cape Town Camps Bay update
Hi everybody
Yesterday after my long flight I decided to just lazing around at the strand (beach). And after that I went with some people to the Cafe Caprice (Victoria Rd) a very nice place at the beach road to have some sundowners with chillout music. I recommend to start with a Whale Rock and then test some different Mexican ones. For the dinner I have chosen Paranga a fish restaurant recommended by two very nice Swedish tourists who joint me and they are going there every day. A nice place at the beach again and the whole thing looks like a tent. They have really good food and prices are comparable cheap.
Today I started my day with breakfast 11:00am at Primi Prodomo. Again ocean view and they offer the right choice you need in the morning incl. 20+ different ways to prepare my coffee.
... Cafe Caprice will follow later again ...
